30 Days Of Summer

The burn this summer
Of tender love
Like skillet on stove

Left on my finger
The fading ink
We nomore 'Blink'

And some memoirs
Captured and clicked
In things we flicked

'You. Are. Awesome.'
Said, drunken recorded calls
The reply, always, "Balls!"

Early escapes from work
Thurs and Fri
Fleeting kiss, hug you bye

0/10: my answers failed
But found victory step
In every 'yep - yep'

Damn! ..its over too soon
Left a lot to express
The Jungle Book, the Panda, the Lioness.

Of Masks and Men

**********

picture #1: Om Beach
picture #2,4,5: Kudle Beach
picture #3: Arabian Sea
picture #6: Enroute Yana, Sirsa

Gokarna is a small village-town located in uttar (north) Karnataka - about 600 kms from Bangalore. With the foothills of the western ghats jutting into the Arabian sea in form of multiple cliffs, few pristine beach stretches could be found here.
Beautiful, yet it makes you work to get there, with all beaches being a trek away, rather than being easily reachable or directly motorable. The Om beach (shaped like the numeral 3) and the Kudle beach are the prime locations. But for the trek worthy and the persistent, you also have the following treats:
1. Paradise beach
2. Small Hell beach
3. Half Moon Beach
4. Heaven beach
5. Mystery cave beach
(I have not made up these names.)

Ideal for a weekend stay, you could extend it to visit certain nearby attractions - each taking about one day of time (and 4200 kilojoules of energy).
1. Murudeshwar - Maravanthe - 125 Kms
Maravanthe brings before you a sight of a river and the sea on either side of the highway (NH 17), barely separated by few metres of a thin strip of land.
2. Jog Falls - 110 Kms
Remember that waterfall you read about in GK books?
3. Yana - 60 Kms
Strange, black (too too damn black) rock formations which just do not mingle with the surrounding geology.
Yana

To draw a song

'Anonymous'

For a long time I had harbored this idea of 'drawing up a song'. Something on similar lines as those great pages I mentioned above (under motivation).I have always found peace, joy, happiness and motivation in the works put up there.

And then I found this poem.

And I attempted to comprehend the lines by drawing some lines.

Jingle Bell

It may not be that big day
There may not be a big plan
Yet to give it what you can
You need not be Batman

The reluctance beats the best of us
Never easy getting off the hook
Yet once you log off, close facebook

You never regret this step you took

A place far off is always good
But not everytime within the reach
Somedays it will be Lol-Bagh
Instead of a sparkling beach

Tire me out - drag me off
Or I would rather sleep at home
Until one day I fear I become
Merely a number in your phone

You can let the day end
Or keep it still alive
Plunge into the usual virtual
Or into the real one dive

Greet the sweet intoxication
Meet the darkness around
And keep that mental snapshot
Of you ROFLing on the ground

Knocking yourself out
Pushing the four walls about
Madness is but perception
What's peace within lest craziness without

Let the day going by
Give you a story to tell
True as far as honesty persists
Rest replaced by 'jingle bell'

The picture will change - people will leave
Although captured in the clicks
So weave a few stories - drunken memories

And stud them with GPLs and kicks

So count up the fellows
Lest another day turns to crap
Pop the bubble, meet the mishap
Let what lies ahead, un-bubble-wrap
